This is my first update pic for the Saturday Prairie Schooler SAL with Linda and Rosemary of the Spring & Fall, Summer & Winter monthly designs. This one is March, with a lion and lamb.  I finished the lamb and it's hard to see it now, but it will be surrounded by grass in front and the lion in back and will look much better next time!

WIPocalypse update #2

It's another Full Moon and time to check in for the WIPocalypse on Measi's blog!  I am trying to finish this Happy Easter Snow Globe for World of Charity Stitching so it can be added to a quilt with other snow globes designed by Vee and Co Cross Stitch.  You can see all of my WIPs on my WIPocalypse 2012 page.

Day #35 is Bird by gazette94.  This will also be donated to World of Charity Stitching to be added to a quilt. Everyone is stitching the same bird, but choosing their own color.  I am using variegated blue.

Now I have to hurry and put the dogs outside and go to a doctor's appointment and get a haircut today!  Have a great stitching day, everyone!

Day #14 - Gatitos (kittens)

Day #14 of my Ultimate Crazy January Challenge is Gatitos (kittens), a free chart from nacaranta.com.  These adorable kitties will be 4"x12" on 16 ct Aida.  I might make it into some type of wall hanging instead of framing it.  I get so many wonderful ideas from visiting everyone's blogs.

I met five other stitchers in the SoCal Cross Stitchers Yahoo group on Saturday.  We sat and stitched and talked for hours about so many different things.  I made a lot of progress on the Happy Easter Snow Globe that I am stitching for World of Charity Stitching to be part of a quilt for a child at a domestic violence shelter or Ronald McDonald House.  Patterns for the snow globes were donated to the group by Vee and Co Cross Stitch Designs.

A finish, a new start, and a SAL update!

I finally finished this double light switch cover for my mom!  I bought the book, "Stitches and Switches" by Fond Memories way back in 1997, with the plan to have cross-stitched light switch covers all over the house!  Thanks to the Crazy January Challenge 2011, I finally made one!  This is for my mom's kitchen.

This Happy Easter Snow Globe is a new start for World of Charity Stitching as a quilt square.  They are making a quilt of Snow Globe designs by Vee and Co Cross Stitch.  Vee donated the designs for us to use.  She has lots of adorable patterns for sale on her website!

On the Dog House Sampler SAL with Linda, I finished the fence and a few more letters.  Linda is way ahead of me, so I have to hurry and catch up!  When we are finished, we will stitch on Trick or Treat on Wednesdays too.
