Bon Noel finished and Halloween House SAL update #7

I finished my second Christmas piece for the X-Stitching Christmas Challenge!  I used variegated green for the tree and DMC Jewel Effects floss for the red ornaments.  My plan is to finish it by following Vonna's tutorial for a Flat Ornament.  Now I just need to find some fabric and ribbon!

Halloween House update #7

For the Friday SAL on Halloween House, I stitched the grass in front and more of the black wrought iron fence.  I wonder which direction I will go next Friday, to the right or left or above?  Blueberrie approves!  (My daughter named him that because his eyes were blue but not anymore, and she spelled it wrong on purpose!)

Make sure you don't get thick mat board. The first one I did was totally screwed up because my mat board was way to big. Try to get some that is close to poster board thickness (or a little more). The glue needs to go on with a really light touch too or you will end up with it all over you, the table, and especially the ornament which is BAD! (Can you tell I just got one finally finished that I'm happy with?)

Love the finishes. Very, very cute. :o)

I sewed myself right into a fibro flare. I don't know when to quit, so I am trying to rest up my poor arm and hand this weekend. I actually think I'm addicted to stitching. I get all twitchy when I don't stitch for awhile!

Love looking at all of your starts and finishes. Really awesome!
