Whoo hoo! Christmas Cactus is finished!

I found this free pattern on an Italian blog.  It was fun stitching the bright colors on red Aida.  I used DMC Satin floss for the Christmas lights.  I hope to find the perfect Christmas fabric and trim to make a hanging ornament or flat-fold out of this design.

Started 1/25/2012, Finished 10/25/2012

Now I will move it off my WIPocalypse page and onto my Finishes 2012 page!  This was one of my Ultimate Crazy January Challenge starts, where I started something new every day in January (and February).  Then I kept starting more new things during the year, as you can see in the list on my side bar.  I suppose it's time to start planning my 31 new starts for the Ultimate Crazy January Challenge 2013.  How about you?

It looks great. Considering the amount of HAED charts I have no way will I be starting 31 of them in January:)

It looks so happy! I am so tempted to do the crazy challenge too but still trying to make my mind up, as it will be a lot of organising to get everything ready and purchased.

A lovely finish. I couldn't cope with starting 31 new projects lol. Look forward to seeing what you choose.

Congrats on the finish, it's lovely! That's such a cute pattern, and it looks really good on the red Aida.

The Ultimate Crazy January Challenge sounds like lots of fun, but I'm not sure I can gather the supplies for 31 projects by then. Besides that, it sounds a bit overwhelming! I'll continue contemplating.

Christmas cactus lokks so bright and happy -it was a clever idea to use the satin floss extra shine for the lights !1
The pattern looks fun and exotic for me-we have already get lots and lots of snow and it is very cold outside.
