The Fairies are almost done! I just need to stitch the green fairy's hair and wings, then I will send it off to World of Charity Stitching to be sewn onto a quilt with other fairy cross stitch pieces. This is the first time I have stitched on 28ct evenweave, and it's opalescent, too (perfect for fairies). I really like this when it comes to 1/4 stitches so I don't have to pierce the fabric like I do with Aida.
Here is one of my favorite pics of our dog, Teddy. We got him last August 2010 from the animal shelter. He was 7 months old then, so that would make him about 1-1/2 years old now. They told us that he is a yellow Labrador Retriever, but he seems bigger than that (maybe Mastiff?). He weighs 100 pounds. He sleeps at my feet all day when I'm working.
He's watching the kids walk home from school on the other side of the wall.

You WOC is looking wonderful. I love the colors and the sparkle. Teddy is perfect, what a great pic of him. He looks a lot like a mastiff which are such wonderful and gentle dogs.
The Fairies are soon rdy to be sented for charity :)
Well done!
Oh,Teddy looks very handsome !
I agree that he has "a mastif look"
on his head but his colour and tail looks like he is a Labradour retriever..
You did a great thing when adopting him :)
Your fairies are darling. Congrats on being able to stitch on evenweave, I just can't seem to get the knack of it.
Love your fairies... aren't they delightful. Gorgeous fabric too.
Isn't Teddy just the biz... love the way he watches the kids :-) He does look a bit labrador-ish but his head and shoulders do lend you to think there is mastiff in him too. Either way I'm sure he is a gorgeous and lovable dog - well done on rescuing him :o)

Lovely stitching. Your dog looks as though he takes a great interest in what's going on !!!
What a lovely dog. 100 pounds is an awful lot for a lab though. Maybe he's a mutt... Grats on the progress on your fairies. You're almost there. How do you like using the opalescent fabby?
Love your Fairies, Debbie, and your poochie too.
Love, Peggy

Teddy is pretty bulky for a Lab. He is a very handsome boy! I wish I could have a pet, but we just don't have room outside and aren't allowed to have pets inside.
I love your stitching and can't wait to see more. Fairies are the best!
Dogs are smart & know when the kids are coming.

Lovely Fairies, and Teddy is most definitely a Mastiff cross. And good job in adopting him from a shelter...as an animal care attendant for my local shelter you can't imagine the joy we have everytime an animal gets a forever home :)
