Crazy January start #21

Day #21 of the Ultimate Crazy January Challenge is Penguins At Play by Witchykitt Designs.  There are actually 3 different penguins charts that I am stitching all together.  This is part 3.  I am stitching on 14 ct white Aida and it will be 12" x 4".

I found a similar UFO in my WIPocalypse list to stitch on today also.  What else to match up with funny penguins than funny chickens?  I found this free chart, Gallinas (Spanish for chickens) on a Spanish website, nacaranta.com.  I started this one in the Crazy January Challenge 2012.  Today I started stitching the white on the chicken and her head.  There is a lot of white in this design so I chose to use 14 ct ivory Aida and this will be 14" x 8.5".

November 1-3, per Random Number Generator!

Hi everyone!  I don't want any of my WIPs to turn into UFOs, so I'm letting the Random Number Generator pick a project from my WIPocalypse page to stitch on each day.

November 1 - #18 Gallinas (Spanish for chickens).  I found this free chart on a Spanish website, nacaranta.com.  This was the Day #13 start of my Ultimate Crazy January Challenge.  I got all the outlining done on one of the chickens.

November 2 - #1 Stained Glass Nativity.  Can you believe I started this needlepoint design in 1980?  I didn't touch it from 1981 until November 2011, when I stitched a little bit more, but then it sat again for another year until now.  I have finished the center panel and now it's two-thirds done!

November 3 - #32 Boule Bordeaux.  I found this free chart on a French blog, Le blog de Vava.  I started this one in February as one of the Super Duper Ultimate Crazy February Challenge starts.  I stitched more of the gold background using gold metallic DMC 5282.  This is on perforated paper.

Day #13 - Gallinas (chickens)

Day #13 of my Ultimate Crazy January Challenge is Gallinas (chickens), a free chart from nacaranta.com.  It is a Spanish website and I had to download the cross stitch program, Puntotek, so that I could open the files, as they are not PDF files.  This picture will be bigger than I expected, 14" x 8.6".  I will stitch the chickens in B5200, so they will really look bright on the ivory 14 ct Aida fabric.

On Saturday, I will meet some ladies in the SoCal Cross Stitchers Yahoo group for a get-together.  I will bring two of my pre-UCJC projects to work on, then I will start a new one for day #14 when I get home.
