YOTA - August

Today is the first Saturday of the month and time for the YOTA (Year of the Acronym) UFO SAL update hosted by Pull the Other Thread.  Universal Unity is a Dimensions Gold Collection kit that I started in 1998.

I missed July since I was on vacation, but here is the before pic from the June YOTA post:

I started filling in the stripes of the zebra.  You'd think they were only white, but there are actually 5 different symbols and some of them are tweeded (blended) colors of different strands of floss!

My goal is to finish the zebra and the grass around him and the backstitching for the next YOTA update!

    Great progress on this piece. I know this kind of pictures where you have so many different whites and greens etc. They are a bit tricky to stitch because of all the colour changes but they look gorgeous.

    Beautiful. I might have to sign up for YOTA and join you! I'm always so jealous seeing your updates. I have a Dimensions Gold kit too and I know just what you mean about all the blending and colour changes!

    Blending makes a project seem to go so slowly doesn't it? Yet the effects are marvellous when done - so it's worth the effort. Looking forward to seeing more progress next month.
