Day #23 of the Ultimate Crazy January Challenge is
Boo-gie Fever by Sue Hillis Designs. I finished one skeleton. I'm using glow-in-the-dark floss by DMC, which is so much nicer and softer and easier to stitch with than the glow-in-the-dark from Kreinik. I highly recommend it! I'm stitching on black 14 ct Aida and it will be about 7" x 9".

Since I'm stitching skeletons, I pulled out another skeleton from my
WIPocalypse list, Skel on Bike. I bought this chart from
Witch Stitch 'n' Bits but the designer has retired and the website is closed now. I started this in 2012 and never touched it again after the first day. Today I stitched more of the bike frame. This will be 12.25" x 13" on 22 ct evenweave that I dyed black (but not very dark).

That skeleton looks so funny. It's certainly a fun stitch.
ReplyDeleteLove it. I have tried stitching on dark colors but I fid it very difficult to see.

The skeleton looks great! I've never used the glow in the dark threads, but they are perfect for this design.
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome, I love glow in the dark thread !!!
ReplyDeleteBoogie Fever is So cute!! Can't wait to see more progress in both these projects!
ReplyDeleteAll that dark fabric would drive me insane! You are definitely a better stitcher than me!!
ReplyDeleteSpooky skeletons
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried the glow in the dark thread from DMC but I found the glittery thread stiff and plastic feeling.
ReplyDeleteSpooky set indeed. Love them though. I've never tried the DMC glow ones. I'll have to remember that.
ReplyDeleteI am in awe that you are stitching the Skel on Bike on 22ct over 1. Another great pair. Boo-gie Fever is great.

Boogie Skeleton looks great and so doer Skel on a Bike. I do not like working with DMX Light Effects. They always shred on me.
ReplyDeleteLove both of them, definitely make a great pair. I'm a fan of all the spooky and Halloweeny stuff :)
ReplyDeleteboth of them are gorgeous and you have some great progress on them :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous designs. The only thing that puts me off stitching skeletons is that stitching white is my least favourite colour!
