Free Cross Stitch patterns

I've been searching the internet for free cross stitch patterns and downloading lots of PDF files. I had no idea there was so much available! I told my mom and son to be on the lookout at yard sales or thrift stores for cross stitch supplies like floss and fabric. Now I regret not buying all the 25 cent kits I saw at a thrift store last year. Even if I wasn't interested in the pattern, I could have used the Aida! I've been buying linen and evenweave on eBay too. I can't wait to try something new! I love reading cross stitch blogs and Yahoo groups messages to get more ideas. I was just a cross stitch kit stitcher before, but now I've discovered a whole new world!

  5. I had no idea there was such a thing as a free chart until I joined a Yahoo group. Thank goodness for generous designers! I have yet to hit the thrift stores for craft stuff; I'm afraid I'd have to get a bigger house!

  6. Yes, I joined the Counted Cross Stitch Yahoo group and have learned so much more about cross stitch! I only bought kits from Wal-Mart, Joann Fabrics, or Michael's before. Now I realize there is an infinite amount available. My lifetime just won't be long enough!
