April ornament and WIPocalypse update!

I'm in the 2013 Ornament SAL, where we stitch a new ornament each month for any holiday.  My April ornament is C'est Noel, a freebie from The Sampler Girl. I used DMC Light Effects and DMC Satin floss (so slippery!).  One of these days I'll try to make these finishes into actual ornaments!

Since my last WIPocalypse update in March, I have had lots of finishes and progress on my SALs.

The Bear and the Bees is an old chart from The Prairie Schooler, but you can still find it HERE.

These bookmarks will be Mother's Day gifts.  The free design is from Linen Flowers.

I stitched All's Good in the Hood by Kincavel Krosses for my son's birthday present.  It can be a housewarming gift too, since he just got a new job in a different state!

I started a new SAL with Linda for Thankful Critters, an Imaginating chart by Ursula Michael.  We stitch on this one every other weekend.  I'll stitch 1-2 letters each month so it will be finished by Thanksgiving.
Thankful Critters update #2
I'm also in a new SAL for Bothy Threads Cut Thru' designs.  I stitch the Igloo on Mondays.  When this is finished, I'll keep going and stitch another Cut Thru' from my WIP list, North Pole House and/or Pirate Ship.

The current pics of all of my WIPs are always on my WIPocalypse page. Remember to check in on Measi's blog with a link to your WIPocalypse update, too!

Hurray!  I actually finished something early and didn't wait until the last minute! I made these two bookmarks for Mother's Day gifts.  The pattern is a freebie from Linen Flowers.

Two new SAL starts and a finish!

I started Thankful Critters during the Ultimate Crazy January Challenge last year, but haven't touched it since the first day.  Now Linda and I will be stitching on it every other weekend.  I hope to finish it in time to display for Thanksgiving!  I finished the chipmunk and the letter "A" with nuts.

Our Monday SAL of Bothy Threads Cut Thru' designs has begun!  We are up to about ten members now.  Sharon also started a Bothy Threads Cut Thru designs Monday SAL Facebook Group!  Feel free to join us any time!

I stitched some white snow and ice walls of the igloo.

Day #26 - Thankful Critters

Day #26 of my Ultimate Crazy January Challenge is Thankful Critters by Ursula Michael. I missed posting a pic of my Day #25 start, Christmas Cactus, because I was in the hospital having surgery. I thought I could keep up but I've been much too tired and sore! I am glad that I got most of this chipmunk done. Tomorrow I will do my Day #27 start and post more pictures. I am staying at my parents' house to recover, so I don't have my Friday SAL with me, Halloween House, and my Sunday SAL, Santa's 12 Days of Christmas. But when I go home next week, I will have a whole month off work, so I will be able to catch up with the UCJC and continue with Linda into the Super-Duper Ultimate Crazy February Challenge! Then we will have the rest of the year to finish all (or most of) these new WIPs. Happy Stitching, everyone!
